Terms of Use
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Welcome to What’s Up Summerland? These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of whatsupsummerland.ca (the “Site”), a free community events resource operated by Morrison Sites (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
About the Site
What’s Up Summerland? is a free community service that gathers local events in Summerland, BC into one calendar. Listings are provided by venues, organizers, and community members. We provide the platform; we don’t host or run the events themselves.
Event and listing information
Please verify details before you go. Event information, such as dates, times, locations, prices, age restrictions, and whether an event is happening at all, is supplied by venues and organizers and can change or be cancelled without notice. We don’t independently verify every listing and don’t guarantee that any information on the Site is accurate, complete, or current.
Always confirm details directly with the venue or organizer before making plans, especially for ticketed, age-restricted, or weather-dependent events.
Submitting events and content
If you submit an event, venue, or other content (“Submissions”), you agree that:
- You have the right to submit it and to have it published;
- The information is accurate and not misleading;
- Your Submission isn’t unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, deceptive, or infringing on anyone’s rights;
- You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, format, and share your Submission on the Site and in related promotion of the Site.
We may review, edit, decline, or remove any Submission at our discretion; for example, to fix formatting, remove inappropriate content, or keep listings relevant. We’re not obligated to publish or keep any Submission.
Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, unlawful, or harmful content;
- Use the Site to harass, defame, or infringe on others’ rights;
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site;
- Scrape, harvest, or reuse Site content or data without permission;
- Use the Site for spam or unsolicited commercial messaging.
